Here is a look at results for the South African teams from Round 6 of the Super Rugby 2017 season. The Kings had a bye, the two domestic games featured the Stormers v Cheetahs and Lions v Sharks, with the Bulls away in New Zealand against the Chiefs
Chiefs 28-12 Bulls
The Bulls, spanked by the Blues the week before, shocked one and all by holding a 9-3 lead at the break, but lost the plot after the interval, and eventually lost 28-12
Stormers 53-10 Cheetahs
The Cheetahs weren’t so bad at home against the Sharks, but completely lost the plot at Newlands, and the Stormers, strengthened by the acquisition of Kiwi attacking coach Paul Feeney, scored tries at will at Newlands
Lions 34-29 Sharks
One of the best South African derbies we’ve seen for a while. Some contentious calls by the TMO that aided the Lions, including a disallowed Andre Esterhuizen try and an untimely yellow to Etienne Oosthuizen. 19 year old Curwin Bosch had a great game for the Sharks, including this great penalty (courtesy http://www.shrugbyblog.com), but the Lions edged this clash thanks to a late Jaco Kriel try.
